PSG have given David Moyes and Eddie Howe a major boost in the transfer race for West Ham and Newcastle target Azzedine Ounahi.
If you have been following the first spins of the January transfer rumour mill you will know that West Ham are said to be battling Newcastle United for the signing of Morocco World Cup star Ounahi.
According to a report from 90Min, the Hammers and Newcastle are set for yet another transfer tussle having spent most of the summer fighting one another for players.
It is easy to see why the Angers midfield ace is on the radar of the Magpies and the Hammers.

Ounahi, 22, seriously caught the eye with his performances at the World Cup.
He even earned glowing comparisons to the likes of Sergio Busquets during Morocco’s run to the semi-finals in Qatar.
The spectre of interest from European superpower PSG loomed large over the hopes of West Ham and Newcastle, though.
While a move to the Premier League is sure to tempt any player, competing with the likes of PSG is a tough ask.
There is new hope for West Ham and Newcastle, though, it seems.
Because PSG have given Moyes and Howe a major boost in the transfer race for West Ham and Newcastle target Ounahi.
According to the likes of Fabrizio Romano and Get French Football News, PSG have pulled out of the race for Ounahi.
It is now claimed the eel-like midfielder will not feature among the Paris club’s transfer targets because he ‘does not fit into Luis Campos’ plans’.

So here we are again, an alleged battle between West Ham and Newcastle in the transfer market.
Perhaps Moyes needs to enlist the help of Nayef Aguerd to help lure his Morocco teammate Ounahi to east London.
Agent Aguerd has a nice ring to it and a move to London is always an advantage when attracting players.
But high-flying Newcastle – backed by their mega rich Saudi owners – have plenty to bring to the party too.
In a recent report L’Équipe claimed Ounahi has made it clear he wants to leave Angers this month and his transfer is said to be ‘inevitable’.
Sky Sports have also claimed two unnamed Premier League clubs are now fighting it out for Ounahi as well as Napoli. Judging by reports it is pretty safe to assume that could be West Ham and Newcastle.
It will be fascinating to see where he ends up.
