Masuaku has been linked with a move to Besiktas in the last few days.

And last night it was being reported that West Ham are on the brink of letting the player leave David Moyes’ shallow squad.

The left-sided player, who has been used at left-back, left wingback and as a winger by Moyes at West Ham, was said to be on the verge of sealing a season-long loan move to Turkish side Besiktas.

The Hammers will even be covering a percentage of Masukau’s annual salary to get the deal done, claims writer Sercan Dikme – as also reported by KUMB.

The deal will reportedly include an option for Besiktas to buy.

Moyes has sanctioned the departure despite bemoaning his lack of depth during pre-season and effectively sending an ultimatum to the owners that he needed more signings following the recent defeat to Rangers at Ibrox.

Now it seems Masuaku’s move to Besiktas has been all but confirmed.

The image has been shared widely on social media including by Hammers Twitter account Inside Irons.

Masuaku is not going to be close to Moyes’s starting XI with everyone fit.

But the Hammers do not have many options on the left, so it suggests Moyes must be confident of bringing in a new signing on that side.

Whether that will be prime target Filip Kostic remains to be seen.

Top Italian ITK reporter Alfredo Pedulla claimed the Serbian assist king could now join West Ham by Wednesday should Juventus and Inter Milan not take up what remains of a 72-hour window to sign him.

The decision to let Masuaku leave was seen as an indication West Ham might be confident of getting that deal done.

There have also been links to former Man City left-back Angelino this week (La Voz de Galacia). The Spaniard is a player twice signed by Rob Newman at Man City.

The Daily Mail is reporting today that West Ham are looking at alternatives to Kostic.

But with this picture we appear to know for sure now that Masuaku has officially left the Hammers.
