Paul Merson has once again tipped Jarrod Bowen to leave West Ham United and join Liverpool in the summer.

And now the pundit has repeated those suggestions.
Bowen has proven to be an absolutely brilliant signing for the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium from Hull City back in January 2020 for around £20 million (BBC).

The 25-year-old found a new level entirely this season though, and subsequently attracted the attention of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool Echo).
Bowen bagged 18 goals and 13 assists in 51 games for West Ham since August 2021 (Transfermarkt). He also earned a call-ip to the England national team and has already bagged two caps for the Three Lions.
Keeping him at West Ham will be absolutely vital for David Moyes. The hard-working winger has been tipped for a move away from the London Stadium though…
Paul Merson tips Jarrod Bowen for Liverpool
The ex-Hull City star is one of the two best players Moyes has at his disposal at the London Stadium, alongside Declan Rice of course.
It is easy to see why some of England’s biggest clubs might be interested in signing him.
Merson suggested that the Hammers star is good enough to play for the Reds, when writing his regular column for Sportskeeda:
“Jarrod Bowen is someone who got recognition on the grandest stage recently as he made his England debut, but I still believe he’s underrated. He’s an outstanding player and has gone from strength to strength – I can’t believe it took so much time for Gareth Southgate to call him up! When West Ham have a big game coming up, he’s a player – along with Declan Rice – who gets rested and that just shows how much he’s grown. Come to think of it, he reminds me of a forward version of James Milner – reliable, honest and works his socks off. He’s been linked with a move to Liverpool and at the moment, I think he’d be a great squad player for them. He won’t go in there and take someone’s spot immediately, but Liverpool play a lot of games and their brand of football is intense, so he’ll have plenty of game time under his belt.”
Liverpool signed Luis Diaz from Porto in January and are being tipped to bring in Darwin Nunez from Benfica as well (Liverpool Echo).
Bowen moving to Anfield to just sit on the bench would be absolute madness at this stage of his career.
In order to keep him at West Ham though, the Hammers owners absolutely must back David Moyes to the hilt in the transfer market in order to prove to the 25-year-old that we can match his ambition.
Merson tipping Bowen to join Liverpool is no surprise. He is easily good enough to play for the Merseyside giants.
We just can’t see this one happening this summer. However, next year might be a different story, unless Moyes is given the funds to push for a top four place.
