The path could now be clear for West Ham United to sign Juventus ace Weston McKennie in January according to a report from Tuttosport.

Hammers boss David Moyes strengthened his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium in the summer with the signing of Alex Kral.

It could be argued that the West Ham manager needs further reinforcements in the middle of the park, however.

Before the Hammers signed Kral, Juventus ace Weston McKennie was heavily linked with a move to East London (Tuttosport and Tuttomercatoweb).

And it would be no surprise to see us go back in for the United States international in January…especially after Tuttosport’s latest update.

Path clear for West Ham to sign Weston McKennie?

Juventus are ready to cash in on the 23-year-old American according to Tuttosport.

It was recently claimed the Italian giants want around £25 million for McKennie (Tuttomercatoweb).

That seems like absolutely brilliant value. The Juventus star is a sensational midfielder and would be a truly tremendous addition for West Ham.

During his time with Schalke he was described as a ‘sensational’ midfielder by the Bundesliga’s official website.

The former Schalke man enjoyed a fine campaign with Juve last term, bagging five goals and two assists in 34 Serie A matches (Who Scored).

During those outings, The United States international averaged one tackle and 0.8 interceptions per game.

The American made 22.2 passes on average and recorded a completion rate of 85.4%.

He is energetic, technically gifted and dynamic. McKennie would offer West Ham a great option in the middle of the park and would make us a far stronger unit if either Declan Rice or Tomas Soucek are not able to play for any reason.
