West Ham United transfer target Ollie Watkins once suggested that joining Arsenal would be a dream move for him.
And that could be a real problem for the Hammers this summer, with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on the look-out for a new centre-forward.

West Ham manager David Moyes wants to bring Aston Villa ace Watkins to the London Stadium this summer according to The Guardian.
The 26-year-old is valued at around £50 million by Villa (The Guardian) and that price-tag may well make a move to West Ham problematic.
There is another potential issue awaiting the Hammers as well, however…
Ollie Watkins Arsenal dream
The 26-year-old striker is a Gunners fan.
Before he left Brentford he made the admission that an Arsenal move is firmly on his radar.
With Mikel Arteta desperately hunting a pacy forward, a move from the west Midlands to north London wouldn’t be completely out of the question for the 26-year-old this summer.
Watkins told Sports Gazette in 2020 that his dream is to play for Arsenal:
“Yeah, the dream. That’s the dream to play for Arsenal one day. But, you know: it’s a long shot.”
So if the Gunners come knocking this summer, the 26-year-old striker may well find it impossible to turn down a move to The Emirates.
And that would be an obvious blow for the Hammers.
The Aston Villa ace would be the absolute perfect summer signing for West Ham. The worry is that he would be ideal for Arsenal as well.
Watkins is absolutely rapid and is always prepared to make the tireless runs into the channels in order to create space for this teammates.
The seven-capped England international is a constant menace for opposing defenders and never gives them a minute’s rest. The 26-year-old is a good finisher as well.
We would absolutely love to see the Aston Villa striker at the London Stadium and firmly believe that he should be Moyes’s number one striker target.
Watkins having openly admitted his Arsenal dream could scupper West Ham’s chance of signing him, however, especially if Arteta tries to bring the Villa ace to the Emirates this summer.
