Nottingham Forest swoop to leapfrog West Ham by holding talks with Harry Maguire alternative Trevoh Chalobah claims journalist
The Hammers have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen duo Jonathan Tah and Odilon Kassounou as well as Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.
Jacob Steinberg of The Guardian recently claimed West Ham want Chalobah from Chelsea, who need to sell fringe players to satisfy FFP rules.
But West Ham will need to get their act together on the latter if reporter Alan Nixon’s latest update is anything to go by.
Because Nottingham Forest have swooped to leapfrog West Ham by holding talks with Maguire alternative Chalobah claims the journalist.

Forest steal a march on the Hammers for Chelsea man but there could be an upside for Moyes
Although there may also be an upside for West Ham after a revelation in the report about a Forest player who has been interesting Moyes.
“Nottingham Forest are in talks with Chelsea for versatile star Trevoh Chalobah,” Nixon reports on his Patreon page.
“Forest want extra class and are prepared to buy or loan the Stanford Bridge squad man who can play centre half or midfield.
“Steve Cooper has been a fan of Chalobah for some time and would like to sign him – as he prepares to bring in money from the sale of Brennan Johnson.”

Mixed news for West Ham with encouragement that Forest are looking to sell star Johnson
That update brings interesting and mixed news for West Ham on two fronts.
Obviously it’s wake-up call for Moyes and the Hammers that Nottingham Forest have already opened talks with Chalobah.
But Nixon also states Forest are looking to bring in money by selling star Johnson – who has been linked with a move to West Ham as reported by the likes of The Telegraph.
Chalobah, 24, made 33 appearances for Chelsea last season but is said to be one of several players Mauricio Pochettino is willing to sell as the Blues continue their unprecedented transfer splurge.
