Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a left-back this summer, with Aaron Cresswell seemingly destined for an exit from the London Stadium.

Tavares would certainly be an option for Moyes, but it seems as though Forest could beat us to the punch…

Nottingham Forest make move to sign £21m West Ham target Nuno Tavares from Arsenal

Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter today to share the news that Forest are ready to make a move for the Portuguese Arsenal ace.

The Italian tweeted:

The Portugal under-21 international spent last season on loan with Marseille and he performed really well.

In 31 Ligue 1 outings, Tavares bagged six goals and averaged 1.8 tackles and 0.9 key passes per game (Who Scored).

The former Benfica man is powerful, has pace in abundance and offers just as much going forward as he does defensively.

If Nottingham Forest sign Nuno Tavares, I reckon he’d be a really good addition for them. I just hope that Moyes has a top-class left-back signing lined up for West Ham this summer, because we really need one.
