Nicolo Zaniolo dreams of joining Tottenham, as West Ham United’s hopes of signing the AS Roma ace begin to fade and die.

That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport who claim that the 23-year-old Roma star is waiting for Tottenham to come in and try and sign him.

Now, that is obviously bad news for West Ham, with David Moyes reportedly keen to bring him to the London Stadium.

Zaniolo is a world-class player, and losing out on him to Tottenham will be a massive blow for the east Londoners to stomach…

Zaniolo dreams of Tottenham

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is holding out for a move to north London above all other clubs according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italy international will be a major signing for whichever club wins the race for his signature, and as things stand it seems like Spurs are in the box seat.

Football Italia describe the Roma star as a wonderful talent. And they’re spot on – he really is special.

Zaniolo is a world-class player in the making. Italy boss Roberto Mancini once described the 23-year-old as an ‘extraordinary’ player (Goal).

He is exactly what we need at West Ham. It’s just such a shame that we didn’t move quicker to sign him.

Zaniolo is big and powerful and standing at 6ft 3in tall, he seems to be perfectly built for the Premier League.

The Roma attacker can play in a variety of positions including the number 10 role and on both wings, and he has a proven track record of producing the goods at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.

With the report claiming that Zaniolo dreams of joining Tottenham though, it seems as though our hopes of bringing the Italian to East London are all but dead in the water.
