Nicolo Zaniolo has a meeting set for his agent after a change of heart as West Ham and Spurs decision becomes clear.

West Ham and bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur were linked with mutual interest in a number of players over the last couple of windows.

From Djed Spence and Yves Bissouma to Filip Kostic and Nikola Milenkovic to name but a few.

It seems West Ham manager David Moyes and Tottenham boss Antonio Conte like a similar profile of player.

And the Italian and Scot have been locking horns in the transfer market again this month for another player.

Spurs and the Hammers have been heavily linked with a move for Roma outcast Zaniolo.

There has been claim and counter claim over who may, or may not, be leading the race for the the Italian playmaker’s signature after he fell out with Roma’s fans.

But it is widely expected the reported West Ham and Tottenham target will leave the capital club before next week’s deadline.

West Ham put forward a rather unusual offer to Roma according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Hammers allegedly wanted the 23-year-old on loan from now up until January 2024 at which point there would be an obligation to buy him for €30 million (£26 million) but only if the east Londoners had 30 points under their belts in the Premier League by the end of December 2023.

Meanwhile Tottenham have also only offered an initial loan deal for Zaniolo who, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, is dreaming of moving to Spurs.

In the last few days West Ham’s relegation rivals Bournemouth have entered the race for Zaniolo.

Initially it was widely reported the player had no interest in that move and wanted a bigger club like West Ham or Tottenham to make a permanent offer rather than load bid.

Now Zaniolo has an agent meeting set after a change of heart as West Ham and Spurs decision becomes clear.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Zaniolo has changed his stance after a ‘period of reflection’ and could now move to Bournemouth with West Ham and Tottenham withdrawing their interest.

The report claims Zaniolo’s agent has flown to England for a meeting with Bournemouth who are now the only club in the frame to sign the Italian.

“His agent Claudio Vigorelli is flying to England to speak to Bournemouth,” La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

“Zaniolo is not fully convinced about playing for a club that is fighting relegation but if Bournemouth’s technical director Richard Hughes offers the player a hefty financial deal to Vigorelli during talks, things could change.”
