There may be a glimmer of hope for West Ham United in their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
But West Ham insiders Claret and Hugh have offered a new take on the situation.
The Hammers site has an inside source at Old Trafford. And that source claims Lingard has been sheepish and non-committal when asked about his future by his Man United teammates.

Hammers fans baffled by Lingard’s reported stance after tasting guaranteed football and stardom for the first time in years
It comes as West Ham fans find themselves somewhat baffled by Lingard’s apparent stance.
So Solskjaer telling the world Lingard is part of his plans and wants to stay and fight for his place jars somewhat.

New twist as insider makes claim over sheepish Lingard’s response to transfer question from Man United teammates
And now Claret and Hugh’s Man United source claims the reality is not as clear cut as Solskjaer has tried to publicly suggest.
“Jesse Lingard refused to give (his) Manchester United team-mates any assurances he would still be at the club following his friendly outing on Sunday at Derby County,” Claret and Hugh’s northern source claims.
“United insiders, however, have told Claret and Hugh that the player would not divulge his future intentions, despite veteran midfielder Juan Mata also personally asking Jesse if he would still be at United in the next few weeks…
“United have offered an extra £30k a week but Lingard is still keeping his own counsel and batted away Mata and a few of the younger lads who were also asking after his situation.”

Is Ole playing the game to drive up Lingard’s price? He has previous
It could be that Solskjaer is playing the game in a bid to drive up Lingard’s price for a sale to West Ham.
The Norwegian has previous too. He made public statements of a similar nature about the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling before shipping both players out.
David Moyes and West Ham fans will be hoping that is the case with Lingard too.
