Nayef Aguerd is inching ever closer to joining West Ham United from Rennes with his medical allegedly halfway done.
That’s according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth who claims that the second part of his medical ahead of his proposed move to the London Stadium will be wrapped up today.

Getting a deal done for Aguerd will be absolutely vital.

The Morocco international is clearly the priority transfer target for David Moyes. And bringing the 26-year-old to the London Stadium this summer will be pivotal to our hopes of achieving success next season.
Nayef Aguerd inching closer to joining West Ham
The Rennes ace is currently in London according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports report has claimed that the Hammers have agreed a £20 million deal to sign the centre-back.
That sounds like truly outstanding value for a player with Aguerd’s outstanding quality.
Newcastle’s interest in signing the Moroccan will undoubtedly represent a big problem for the Hammers (The Daily Star).
It really is extremely frustrating that the Hammers owners have allowed this transfer saga to drag on for so long and subsequently allowed another club to have a crack at signing Aguerd.
But Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that West Ham are closing in on signing the Rennes defender:
The ball still seems to be firmly in the Hammers’ court.
And it remains to be seen whether West Ham can push this one through. There would be an absolute mutiny at the London Stadium if Newcastle end up winning the race for the 26-year-old’s signature.
Nayef Aguerd joining West Ham is still the most likely outcome in my opinion though.
