West Ham United transfer target Memphis Depay has reportedly rejected a move to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
That’s according to Spanish publication Sport who claim that Depay has said no to Tottenham regarding a potential summer transfer from Barcelona.

However, Depay’s answer to Tottenham surely means that the Hammers have no chance of signing the 77-capped Holland international.

Moyes and Antonio Conte are both clearly keen to bolster their respective attacking ranks this summer.
Both West Ham and Tottenham are seemingly set to miss out on one of their transfer targets though…
Memphis Depay makes Tottenham decision
The Barcelona forward has told Spurs that he will not be moving to North London in the summer transfer window according to a report from Sport.
That will be a big blow for Tottenham and West Ham as well.
If he doesn’t want to join Spurs with Champions League football on offer, he surely wont be coming to the London Stadium.
The ex-Manchester United man will allegedly cost around €20 million (£17 million) this summer.
Manchester Evening News once described Memphis Depay as ‘world-class’.
The 28-year-old bagged 13 goals and two assists in 37 games for Barcelona last season (Transfermarkt).
The former Manchester United ace is an enigmatic, precocious talent and on his day he is unplayable. Depay is incredibly strong as well and would be ideally suited to leading the line on his own for either Tottenham or West Ham.

Sure, he has displayed some attitude problems in the past but who better to get him on the straight and narrow than David Moyes or Antonio Conte?
We strongly believe that Depay was badly mismanaged at Manchester United.
He would undoubtedly be a hit in the Premier League this time around, with more experience under his belt.
It seems though that’s a moot point though, with Memphis Depay allegedly rejecting the chance to join Tottenham this summer.
And that is a real shame for not only Spurs but West Ham as well. We think that Moyes has no chance whatsoever of bringing the Holland international to the London Stadium.
Let’s hope that we get deals done for Armando Broja and/or Gianluca Scamacca.
