Manchester United signing Casemiro from Real Madrid this summer could see Chelsea face monumental competition for Jude Bellingham.
That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that Chelsea wanted to sign Bellingham, but Real Madrid are now favourites for the Borussia Dortmund ace, having sold Casemiro to Manchester United for around £70 million.

And that could be absolutely terrible news for West Ham as it could lead Chelsea straight back to Declan Rice.
Chelsea were keen to bring the 23-year-old West Ham star back to Stamford Bridge (The Mirror). They since switched their attention to Bellingham though (The Sun).

The Hammers are still in a strong position to keep hold of Rice. He’s still under contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2024 and the club have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months.
Chelsea may well now be a huge problem for us next summer, however…
Manchester United Casemiro deal could lead Chelsea back to Declan Rice
According to a report from The Sun, Chelsea could now miss out on key transfer target Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid.
That’s because the Spanish giants have just sold Casemiro to Manchester United and are on the hunt for a replacement for the Brazilian.
So it would be no surprise to see Chelsea come back in for Rice now.
He began his youth career with the west London club before leaving to join the Hammers’ academy aged 14.
Rice is a boyhood Chelsea fan, so if he were to leave the London Stadium, a return to the west side of London would be a likely outcome.
The West Ham fans are always wary that Dec could one day return to his boyhood club. The fact that Tuchel was prioritising a move for Bellingham was a source of comfort for the Hammers faithful.

However, the latest update regarding the Borussia Dortmund man being wanted by Real Madrid means that Chelsea could set their sights back on Declan Rice.
All because of Manchester United signing Casemiro this summer!
Hopefully West Ham perform well enough on the pitch and the owners continue to back David Moyes in the transfer market. At least then Rice will be able to see that we are a club with genuine ambition.
If that doesn’t happen, a return to Chelsea could definitely be on the cards for Dec next summer.
