Man City are on the verge of snatching away a top young West Ham star claims Fabrizio Romano in new crushing blow.

Manchester City appear to have an obsession with signing players from West Ham at the moment.

Man City saw a bid for Declan Rice fail and then pulled out of a move for Hammers star Lucas Paqueta over the summer.

The Premier League champions, who came from behind to beat West Ham 3-1 at the weekend, then made a shock move to sign released defender Jamal Baptiste.

Man City on verge of snatching away top young West Ham star claims Fabrizio Romano in new crushing blow

The highly-rated young England centre-back was once hailed by West Ham academy coach Carlton Cole as the new Rio Ferdinand.

Ahead of signing Baptiste, transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano claimed it was part of a drive from Man City to pull together and ‘develop the best youngsters in Europe’.

Well now the mega rich Etihad side are at it again.

Because Man City are on the verge of snatching away another top young West Ham star claims Romano in a new crushing blow.

In an exclusive, Romano claims Manchester City are set to sign England Under 17 midfield ace Divine Mukasa from West Ham.

‘Academy remains crucial part of club’s project’

He’s even given the move his trademark ‘Here we go’.

“Manchester City poised to sign talented England U17 midfielder Divine Mukasa from West Ham — here we go, confirmed,” Romano said.

“Long term deal agreed — to be formally sealed in next 48 hours.

“City keep going for best talents as their Academy remains crucial part of the club’s project.”

It does make you wonder what is the point of having an academy in the modern game if the best young talents are just hoovered up by clubs like Man City.
