Liverpool now plan to keep reported West Ham United target Nat Phillips at Anfield on transfer deadline day.
That’s according to a report from Sky Sports who claim that the 25-year-old is now set to stay at Liverpool.
Ibrahima Konate looks set to miss around 3-4 weeks with a hamstring injury (The Daily Mail).

The German has apparently now changed his tune though after the injury sustained by Konate…
Nat Phillips move off the cards for West Ham on transfer deadline day
The Hammers ill not be signing the Liverpool centre-back today.
That’s because Klopp now needs more central defensive cover, with Konate ruled out for around three weeks with a hamstring injury.
That’s a big blow for David Moyes in my opinion – Phillips would have been absolutely perfect for West Ham.
The 25-year-old is incredibly strong in the air – he proved that in the 2020/21 season during both games against us when he absolutely dominated Michael Antonio and Sebastien Haller. He’s tenacious in the tackle, a great reader of the game and plays with commitment, passion and desire.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp once described Phillips as ‘unbelievable’ (Liverpool Echo). Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand raved about his display for the Reds at the San Siro in December 2021, labelling Phillips as ‘beautiful’ and ‘Baresi like’ (Daily Mail).
The fact that Phillips has received that kind of praise proves just how much talent he has and how highly regarded he is in the game.
West Ham really should have signed the Liverpool centre-back year, and now we have no chance of bringing him to the London Stadium on transfer deadline day.
What a huge shame that is for the Hammers, and Moyes will undoubtedly be regretting not moving for Phillips sooner.
