Liverpool signing talented central midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer could lead Real Madrid to West Ham United star Declan Rice.

That’s according to a report from Spanish publication Defensa Central who claim that Liverpool are currently leading Madrid in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham.

If Jurgen Klopp does bring Bellingham to Anfield, it would be really bad news for the Hammers as Real Madrid would then target a move to sign Rice according to Defensa Central.

Keeping Rice, 23, at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future will be the most important thing that David Moyes can do.

If Real Madrid do make a move for the 32-capped England international though, the West Ham manager may well be fighting a losing battle.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have both been linked with big money moves for Rice as well.

It now seems as though the Reds could be set to move for someone else instead, and it could be very bad news for the Hammers…

Liverpool signing Bellingham could lead Real Madrid to Rice

Bellingham is valued at around £103 million by Borussia Dortmund and Klopp wants to bring him to Anfield according to a report from The Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old has been described as an ‘unbelievable’ player by the Liverpool Echo.

The 15-capped England international is one of the most exciting young talents on the planet, so it’s little wonder why Klopp wants to sign him.

Real Madrid want to sign the Birmingham-born ace as well, but face missing out on his signature to the Merseyside giants (Defensa Central).

And that could be bad news for the Hammers, with Defensa Central reporting that Madrid will line up a move to sign Declan Rice, if they do indeed miss out on Bellingham.

That would obviously be a big problem for West Ham.

If the Hammers are to make any kind of progress at all over the next few years, we absolutely have to keep Dec at the London Stadium.

When Real Madrid come knocking though, it’s almost impossible to reject their advances.

The one thing in our favour though is that Rice is under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024 AND we have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months. So we are in a position to play hardball.

However, if Liverpool do end up signing Bellingham, the West Ham fans may face a long, difficult and worrisome summer transfer window ahead.
