Kurt Zouma is close to sealing his West Ham exit with Danny Ings and two more to follow to enable a double West Ham deal.
Deposed West Ham captain Kurt Zouma is finally close to leaving the club.
And he could be closely followed by three more to facilitate West Ham making another two signings this week.
West Ham have made eight signings thus far as part of a huge squad overhaul led by technical director Tim Steidten.
The German has full control of the football operation since David Moyes’ departure.
Moyes had power of veto as per his Hammers contract. And he wasn’t afraid to use it as Steidten set up a number of deals the Scot snubbed.
Zouma exit close with Ings and two more to follow
This summer has been a complete sea change at the London Stadium, though.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the latest of West Ham’s signings two weeks ago. Many believed that may have signalled the end of the club’s summer business.
But the top spokesman at the club exclusively told Hammers News after the Wan-Bissaka signing that West Ham club could sign as many as three more players.
That was entirely dependent on whether the east Londoners could offload players first.
Talks have been ongoing to try and do just that.
And they appear to be finally bearing some fruit.
PSG outcast Carlos Soler has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham.
Lopetegui is said to have spoken to his compatriot about a move to the London Stadium.
The Spanish midfielder is keen and over the weekend it was claimed Soler is set to join the Hammers on loan with an obligation to buy.
A number of strikers – including Tammy Abraham and Jhon Duran – have also been linked with West Ham before the window shuts.
West Ham have confirmed they want to make more than one signing this week.

West Ham: ‘Moves could happen late’
But speaking to Hammers News on Monday afternoon, the top spokesman at West Ham said players simply must be moved on as soon as possible to make that happen.
“We need to move players as we have no money and no slots,” the top West Ham spokesman told Hammers News.
“Moves could happen late in the window, but less than 50/50 as things stand.”
With incomings hinging on outgoings, there is some excellent news emerging for the Hammers.
Zouma’s exit is now close with Danny Ings and two more to follow to enable a double West Ham deal.
In order to bring in Soler and Abraham – or another young, pacy striker – West Ham need to get wages off the books, raise funds and free up space in the squad.
Saudi sports journalist Nawaf Al-Aqeel has reported via his personal X account on Monday that a deal has been agreed between West Ham and Al-Orouba Club for Zouma.
If the defender passes his medical, he will sign for the newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side.
Exits will enable West Ham double deal
That will free up £125k of wages at West Ham and a squad place.
Jacob Steinberg claims Nayef Aguerd has turned down a move to Germany but West Ham are still hoping to move him on in the coming days too.
That will free up another squad space and around £80k in wages.
It is being reported that West Ham could sell James Ward-Prowse to Nottingham Forest, raising funds, freeing up wages and a squad space for a midfielder amid the Soler links.
And journalist Graeme Bailey claims the Hammers could pay off Danny Ings to leave on a free.
That would free up another £125k on the wage bill and make room for a striker signing amid the links to Abraham.
