Hammers News can exclusively reveal West Ham technical director Tim Steidten is working on more than one new signing before deadline day.
West Ham have had one of their best – if not the best – ever transfer windows.
Evidence of that is already emerging on the pitch just two games into the Julen Lopetegui era.
The Hammers have made eight signings thus far as part of the major rebuild led by technical director Tim Steidten.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the latest in the door two weeks ago and many believed that may have signalled the end of West Ham’s summer business.
The top spokesman at the club exclusively told Hammers News after the Wan-Bissaka signing that West Ham club could sign as many as three more players.
That was entirely dependent on whether the east Londoners could offload players first.
Talks have been ongoing to try and do just that.
Lopetegui wants two in each position
And moves are also afoot to seal deals for new arrivals if successful in shipping certain players – such as Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet and Danny Ings – out.
PSG outcast Carlos Soler has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham.
Lopetegui is said to have spoken to his compatriot about a move to the London Stadium.
The Spanish midfielder is keen and over the weekend it was claimed Soler is set to join the Hammers on loan with an obligation to buy.
A number of strikers – including Tammy Abraham and Jhon Duran – have also been linked with West Ham before the window shuts.
Those reports have been played down in some quarters.
But Hammers News has a potentially exciting update from the top spokesman inside the club.
Because West Ham have confirmed Steidten is working on more than one signing before deadline.

West Ham confirm Steidten working on more than one signing
Lopetegui has confirmed that he wants two players for every position.
The 57-year-old also stated he wants to make more signings this week following the win over Palace.
Now a senior contact close to the Hammers board has delivered a transfer update to Hammers News.
And it has been confirmed the club is working on arrivals – plural.
But the issue remains that offloading players is proving difficult.
“We are trying to make signings,” the West Ham spokesman told Hammers News.
“But we are struggling to get players out to release wages and fund arrivals.”
It proves West Ham are far from done in this window. Deals seem to be in place ready to go but awaiting confirmation based on exits.
Midfielder and striker top of the agenda
Yesterday a top journalist claimed West Ham are talking to Abraham after agreeing terms with Roma.
But the move is being played down by some Hammers sources.
After he scored the winner against the Hammers last week, there were mixed messages from Duran and Unai Emery on a possible deal with West Ham.
Michail Antonio has failed to impress for West Ham in the first two games of the season.
Antonio turns 35 this season and has been injury-prone in the past.
He looks certain to make way for fellow veteran forward Niclas Fullkrug in the coming matches.
With the club trying to move Ings – and his £125k per week salary – out, it is easy to see why signing a younger striker with pace is high on West Ham’s agenda.
Should Soler arrive, though, it would surely suggest one of West Ham’s current midfielders could be leaving.
The Hammers have until 11pm on Friday to get deals done.
