West Ham United reported interest in Aaron Ramsey is being driven by a decision from the Juventus heirarchy.

Deal agreed as West Ham fans save iconic piece of the club’s heritage after GSB snub

That’s according to a new report emerging from Italy last night.

West Ham desperately need midfield reinforcements this summer.

Moyes has been fortunate Rice and Soucek have been ever-presents

David Moyes has been extremely fortunate that both Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have been ever-presents all season long.

Beyond the brilliant duo, West Ham have a worrying lack of options. Indeed ageing skipper Mark Noble is the solitary backup.

Football journalist Nicolo Schira and Calcio Mercato claimed earlier this month that West Ham want to bring 30-year-old Ramsey to the London Stadium his summer.

And the Welshman is open to joining the Hammers according to a report from Tuttosport.

New report from Italy claims decision on Ramsey by Juventus hierarchy is driving West Ham move

Now a new report has emerged from Italy claiming the interest from West Ham is being encouraged after the Juventus hierarchy made a decision on Ramsey (Football Italia and Tuttosport).

“Both their (Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot) salaries have made Juventus consider selling in July,” Football Italia reports.

“Ramsey arrived after his deal with Arsenal expired in July 2019 but has been tipped for a return to England this summer.

“The 30-year-old Wales international, who has appeared 18 times in Serie A this term, has struggled with injuries during his time with the Old Lady and has yet to convince the hierarchy at Continassa.

Tuttosport claims West Ham are showing interest in the former Arsenal midfielder and are monitoring his situation in Italy.”

A strange move from Moyes that does not fit his Red Bull model

There is no doubt Ramsey is a quality player.

But he certainly does not fit the profile of player Moyes has made clear he is looking to bring to West Ham.

The Scot has repeatedly said he wants to build his new-look West Ham around young, talented, energetic, fit players.

Ramsey may be talented but he turns 31 in the middle of next season and is injury prone.

Throw in his huge wages and it seems a strange on from Moyes.
