West Ham could be looking to sign Everton left-back Lucas Digne this month according to football journalist Peter O’Rourke, when speaking to Give Me Sport.
The 28-year-old Everton star has fallen out with Toffees boss Rafa Benitez (The Athletic) and could leave Goodiosn Park during the January transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes may well be keen to bring a top-class left-back to the London Stadium this month.
Aaron Cresswell has been out injured since November 28th and West Ham have really missed him.

He is 32 as well, so a long-term replacement is definitely needed and Everton ace Digne could be just the man for the job.
West Ham eyeing swoop for Everton ace Lucas Digne
The 28-year-old’s days at Goodison Park certainly appear to be numbered.
Give Me Sport’s Peter O’Rourke suggested that he is sure that West Ham will try to prise the left-back away from the Toffees during the January transfer window:
“I’m sure they’ll be looking at him if they are looking for a left-back. I know in the summer, they tried to get a left back to provide cover to Cresswell. Obviously that need is heightened even more know with Cresswell’s injury.”

Having fallen out with Benitez, Digne hasn’t played for Everton since December 1st.
Surely if West Ham make a fair offer for the 43-capped France international’s signature this month the Toffees will be prepared to move him on.
Digne would be a superb signing for the Hammers on face value. Questions must be asked about his attitude, however, having vociferously called out Benitez on his tactics during training (The Athletic).
David Moyes won’t like all that kind of behaviour, but who knows…perhaps he feels as though he could get the best out of the former Barcelona man. He is brilliant when going forward, possesses an exceptional delivery and is a very solid defender with decent pace.

And we’ve got to say, Digne would make a huge difference at West Ham, especially with Cresswell out injured and no return date pencil din as yet.
