Jesse Lingard’s daughter Hope posted a picture outside of West Ham United’s London Stadium yesterday afternoon.

Lingard has been heavily linked with a permanent switch to West Ham after spending a glorious four-month loan spell in East London last season.

Hammers boss David Moyes tried to bring the 29-year-old Manchester United ace to the London Stadium on deadline day in January (The Athletic’s David Ornstein).

West Ham obviously failed to sign Jesse but considering how much Moyes likes him, it would be no surprise to see the Scot make one final attempt to acquire his services in the summer transfer window.

Jesse Lingard’s daughter Hope is a big fan of West Ham by all accounts. When Jesse was with the Hammers, he had a pair of Nike trainers custom made in the famous Claret and Blue colours for her:

And it seems as though she, and perhaps her father, still has West Ham very much on the mind…

The 29-year-old will be available on a free transfer in the summer when his contract at Old Trafford is set to expire.

Moyes will undoubtedly make one final attempt to get his man. The Scot labelled him as an ‘incredible’ player last season (Claret and Hugh).

Jesse would certainly make a big difference to the way in which we attack. His pace and energy makes him perfectly suited to West Ham’s counter-attacking setup.

And we truly believe that Lingard will come back to the Hammers before the start of next season. The 29-year-old clearly doesn’t have a future with Man United and whilst there will undoubtedly be plenty of competition for his signature in the summer, the fact that he loved his time in East London last season should stand us in very good stead.

Even Lingard’s daughter Hope is clearly very home at the London Stadium!

The below image was uploaded to her Instagram account yesterday:

Lingard would obviously have had the sign-off on that particular post. And we believe that it was a very clear hint that he knows exactly where he wants to be playing his football next season.

It seems like the perfect transfer for everyone involved.

Whether West Ham will finally sign Lingard on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window remains to be seen, however.
