Jamie Redknapp says he has heard West Ham want to sign ‘incredible’ striker Armando Broja live on Sky Sports.
Redknapp, son of ex West Ham player and manager Harry, was one of the Sky Sports pundits for Liverpool’s game against Southampton on Tuesday night.
And ahead of the game Redknapp dropped a big claim about West Ham’s interest in Southampton’s Broja, who is on loan from Chelsea.

West Ham were first linked with a move for Broja as he impressed for the Saints earlier this season (Football Insider).
Last week Sky Sports reported that Broja is on David Moyes’s list of striker targets for the summer window with a forward being a top priority for West Ham.

Jamie Redknapp says he’s heard West Ham want to sign ‘incredible’ striker Armando Broja live on Sky Sports
Now Redknapp says he too has heard West Ham want to sign ‘incredible’ striker Broja when appearing live on Sky Sports.
The claim will be given extra weight after Redknapp revealed he has known Broja since he was 14 years old.
“He’s got unbelievable pace this young man,” Redknapp said on Sky Sports’s coverage of Southampton v Liverpool.
“I’ve known him since he was 14/15 years of age. I watched him at Chelsea, this has been a really successful loan for him…

“He’s had a really, really good season. He’s an impressive young man. I think people are probably surprised when they play against him how quick he is. He’s got this incredible pace and strength and he can finish really well as well.
“He’s a fantastic young player and I just want to see him get better and better because he deserves all the success…
“He’ll be well aware next season is a big one for him.
“He has to go back to his parent club Chelsea and he’ll be looking for maybe another loan or there’s talk about West Ham wanting to buy him and I think he’s certainly proven himself as a Premier League centre-forward.

“Because not many possess – at 6ft 4in – that kind of touch, that kind of pace and finesse around the box and also a good finisher. Everyone wants a good number nine.”
The Slough-born Albanian striker is just 20 years old and has a solid record for his debut campaign with nine goals in 22 starts (before the game against Liverpool).
Broja is everything West Ham need and ticks all the boxes for Moyes’s recruitment policy.

Whether Chelsea let him go remains to be seen.
West Ham’s players are said to have been really impressed by Broja during the three games against Southampton this season.
That’s according to a report a couple of months ago from The Evening Standard which claims Moyes actually passed up the chance of signing Broja before he left Chelsea to join Southampton on loan.
