West Ham United could sign Jonathan Tah this summer, as an alternative to Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire.
According to the Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, West Ham‘s Harry Maguire move is starting to hit the buffers, and as a result, Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah is being eyed as a viable option in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring in a top-class, proven central defender before the summer window closes.

Tah certainly fits into that category, and the 27-year-old is reportedly keen to join West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen.
It now seems like Moyes could make an official move for the Germany international…
Jacob Steinberg claims West Ham now want to sign ‘superb’ Jonathan Tah
The Guardian reporter has very close contacts with Hammers owner David Sullivan, so whatever he says has to be taken seriously.
I think that Tah would be a superb addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
Missing out on Maguire would be a big blow but the Leverkusen star is the ideal alternative option in my opinion.

Total Football Analysis describe the German as a ‘superb’ player. He is incredibly strong, dominating in the air and tenacious in the tackle.
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Tah possesses an imposing physique and he’s absolutely ideally suited to the physicality of Premier League football.
The German is allegedly available for around €20 million (£17 million) this summer (Buli News). Signing him for that kind of money should be a no-brainer for Moyes.
West Ham will be a much stronger team this season and beyond with Jonathan Tah amongst our ranks as far as I’m concerned.
