Jacob Steinberg claims West Ham United have made a complete U-turn on Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca.
According to the Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg, West Ham have absolutely no interest in loaning out Gianluca Scamacca this summer, and there is belief from inside the club that he will come good in his second season.

Hammers boss David Moyes failed to get the best out of Scamacca and the 6ft 5in striker clearly didn’t suit the Scot’s counter-attacking system.
He was far too isolated through the middle, and it really was painful viewing at times seeing him struggle up front on his own.
Many predicted that the Italy international would be returning to his homeland this summer. However, it seems as though that won’t be the case…
Jacob Steinberg claims West Ham have made a complete U-turn on Gianluca Scamacca
The Guardian journo suggests that the Hammers will now keep the Italian, unless a bid is made close to what we paid for him last summer.
I think that’s the right call – Scamacca is an excellent striker who just needs players operating closer to him, in order for him to flourish.

If Moyes brings Harvey Barnes to the London Stadium this summer, and with Jarrod Bowen tucking in from the right-hand flank, we will undoubtedly see the best of the former Sassuolo striker.
The 24-year-old is a really gifted technician and will make a huge difference for us, WHEN he’s used correctly.
If Moyes is prepared to change his system at West Ham next season and beyond, Gianluca Scamacca will definitely have a bright future ahead of him with us in my opinion.
The proof will be in the pudding regarding whether that will happen or not though.
