Jack Grealish reportedly set to play key role in Aston Villa and West Ham battle for Tammy Abraham

Jack Grealish is pushing Tammy Abraham towards a move to Aston Villa according to a report from TEAMtalk in what is really bad news for West Ham.

Villa and the Hammers are both thought to leading the race to sign the Chelsea striker (The Athletic).

David Moyes and Dean Smith are both desperate to bolster their centre-forward ranks this summer.

Whether Tammy will end up at Villa Park or the London Stadium, however, remains to be seen.

Jack Grealish pushing Tammy Abraham towards Villa

The 23-year-old played with Grealish during his loan spell at Villa Park three years ago.

Abraham was a real hit with the West Midlands club, scoring 25 goals in 37 league games (Soccerbase).

The Chelsea ace is a hugely popular figure at Aston Villa, and having spent a season there already, he will be comfortable in his surroundings.

Grealish is trying to convince Tammy to join the Villans this summer according to TEAMtalk.

That is obviously bad news for West Ham.

The Aston Villa superstar is good friends with Abraham according to The Birmingham Mail.

So the Chelsea hitman will surely be tempted into joining Villa. Familiarity can make all the difference for footballers these days.

The one thing we do have in our favour, however, is the fact that we can offer the Blues ace European football next season.

It remains to be seen whether Grealish’s influence carries more weight than the prospect of Europa League football for Tammy, however.
