A Hammers insider has delivered an emphatic response to a shock new West Ham transfer link to Gerard Deulofeu.
An “exclusive” report yesterday from the website Calcio Financial claimed West Ham want the former Barcelona, Everton and Watford playmaker in the summer.
The link came as something of a surprise to say the least. Deulofeu, 27, has been completely off the radar since leaving Watford for Udinese.

He has been in good form this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in 23 games (WhoScored).
And Calcio Financial claims West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring Deulofeu back to the Premier League.
“West Ham United are interested in signing Gerard Deulofeu in the summer, Calcio Financial can exclusively reveal,” the website’s report states.

“The Hammers are understood to be willing to pay between £1.5 million and £2.5 million for Deulofeu’s services, but, with still two and a half years left on his deal, it is unclear if Udinese will be willing to let him go.”
After all the hot air talk of January and beyond linking West Ham with big money bids for star names, the sudden Deulofeu claim is something of a comedown.
But Claret and Hugh claim an inside source at West Ham has delivered an emphatic response by shooting down the new West Ham transfer link.

Insider responds to shock new West Ham transfer link to Gerard Deulofeu
“West Ham United are being linked with a move for Udinese’s Gerard Deulofeu when in reality the club has no interest in the player,” Claret and Hugh state.
“Whilst the Hammers don’t have a genuine left winger we were give the same answer as yesterday when inquiring about another rumour with the reply coming back ‘made up’.”
Well West Ham fans will undoubtedly be ‘made up’ that the links are ‘made up’.

Moyes has declared he only wants to target top drawer players at West Ham.
And the Hammers boss admitting he came close to signing brilliant new Liverpool star Luis Diaz, fans were not enamoured by the link to Deulofeu.
It seems that one has been put to bed very swiftly, though.
