Incredibly, West Ham are open to selling player for a very specific fee imminently

West Ham United are apparently open to selling one of our recent signings within the next few weeks.

The January transfer window came and went for West Ham with one new arrival – Evan Ferguson.

Hammers head coach Graham Potter did decide to bring James Ward-Prowse back to the London Stadium from his unsuccessful loan spell with Nottingham Forest as well.

It’s clear to see that the West Ham squad needs to be completely revamped, and I have no doubts that will happen in the summer.

However, for the here and now, Potter will have to make do with what he’s got.

Another job the 49-year-old will have at the end of the season will be to move on some of the deadwood.

And who knows, perhaps he might be able to do that even sooner…

West Ham are open to selling Luis Guilherme for very specific fee

Luis Guilherme joined the Hammers in the summer from Palmeiras for a £25 million fee.

That raised a few eyebrows at the time, and it was one of the signings that eventually cost Tim Steidten his job at the London Stadium.

Now the former Palmeiras man apparently could be set for an early exit from West Ham.

According to Brazilian football journalist Jorge Nicola, the Hammers could cash in on Guilherme imminently.

Botafogo want to sign the 18-year-old, and they have already made a bid for him.

However, West Ham allegedly won’t sell Guilherme for anything less than €23 million (£19 million).

The Brazilian side have been linked with a move to sign Guilherme recently.

I have to admit, if we got £19 million for the young Brazilian I would be astounded.

Sure, he may well come good one day, but as things stand, I think he’s a long way off the required levels to be playing regular Premier League football.

The transfer window in Brazil doesn’t close until February 28th, so it’s certainly possible that Guilherme could still leave West Ham at some point this month.

Whether or not Botafogo will be prepared to pay £19 million for his signature remains to be seen though.
