Billionaire who owns Premier League club wants to sign West Ham star before February 28th deadline

One West Ham United player is being heavily linked with an exit within the next three weeks or so.

West Ham‘s transfer business may well not be finished just yet, despite the fact that the Premier League transfer window is now closed.

Graham Potter brought in Evan Ferguson on a loan deal from Brighton, and James Ward-Prowse returned from his failed loan spell with Nottingham Forest.

Maxwel Cornet left the London Stadium to join Genoa on loan until the end of the season.

Potter will be fully aware that he needs more competition for places at West Ham.

But any more business will have to wait until the summer now.

That’s at least as far as incomings are concerned.

Billionaire owner wants to sign West Ham star Luis Guilherme

The young forward joined the Hammers from Palmeiras for an eyebrow-raising £25 million fee in the summer.

However, he has barely featured for the first-team this season.

That said, he did show some positive signs during his 10-minute cameo appearance against Chelsea on Monday night.

But does his future lie away from the London Stadium?

Botafogo are said to be keen to sign Luis Guilherme this month.

According to ESPN, talks are ongoing right now in London regarding a potential move away from West Ham for the teenager.

The transfer window in Brazil doesn’t close until February 28th, so it’s certainly possible that Guilherme could still leave the London Stadium at some point this month.

John Textor is the owner of Botafogo.

The American – who also owns Crystal Palace and Lyon – is a multi-billionaire, so he surely won’t have any problems raising the funds to prise the 18-year-old winger away from the Hammers.

I personally think that West Ham should keep hold of Luis Guilherme at least until the end of the season.

Let’s see what he’s all about.

Hopefully Potter gives him plenty of first-team minutes before judging whether he’s good enough to make a difference for us in the Premier League.
