Incredible Fabricio Bruno rumour comes to light as West Ham make utterly bizarre new move

The Fabricio Bruno to West Ham transfer saga earlier this summer was as tedious as it was laughable at times.

It seemed for all the world that Fabricio Bruno would join West Ham back in June, after Flamengo accepted our £11.5 million bid for the Brazilian.

However, things didn’t quite work out that way in the end, as he turned down a move to the Hammers after upping his salary demands at the last minute.

Since then, Lopetegui has brought Max Kilman to the London Stadium, but he’s still one centre-back short as far as I’m concerned.

It has been claimed that West Ham are prepared to sell one of either Kurt Zouma or Nayef Aguerd this summer.

If the Moroccan or the Frenchman do leave the London Stadium, the signing of a top-class centre-back will be an absolute necessity.

And it seems as though Lopetegui could be set to make a move for an old transfer target this summer…

Fabricio Bruno rumour emerges as West Ham make new move

Lopetegui is clearly on the hunt for another central defender, despite the fact that he’s already signed Max Kilman from Wolves.

It’s no surprise really is it, after the Hammers conceded an embarrassing 74 goals in the Premier League last season.

However, what is surprising is the fact that Lopetegui could be set to make yet another move to sign a player after he rejected us earlier this summer.

The player in question is Bruno, and it appears as though he’s very much still on the Hammers’ transfer radar.

Rubro News journalist Julio Miguel Neto claims that West Ham have ‘promised’ Flamengo that they will be making a new bid for the 28-year-old centre-back.

And it is suggested that the Hammers are set to offer a higher salary to Bruno than the one we offered him back in June.

This is a really, really bizarre move if you ask me.

Bruno is a very solid defender, is tenacious in the tackle and incredibly comfortable with the ball at his feet.

The South American ‘hard-man’ possesses all of the physical attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.

However, I have to make it clear that I wouldn’t be overly happy if we signed him, after he rejected us earlier this summer.

If Fabricio Bruno does move to West Ham in the summer transfer window, it would be obvious that he only made the switch for money.

And those are the kind of players we shouldn’t be going anywhere near in my opinion.
