There has been a huge twist in a striker chase between West Ham and Everton as a deal is ‘signed and sealed’ for Ben Brereton-Diaz claims Fabrizio Romano.
As fans will be well aware, West Ham and Everton have been linked with Brereton-Diaz for some time.
Earlier this month it was reported that West Ham and the Toffees remained interested in the forward but that Blackburn were demanding as much as £15m despite the fact he is out of contract in the summer.
Earlier this season journalist Alan Nixon claimed Everton and West Ham were two of several clubs eyeing the Rovers forward.
Writing on his Patreon, the reporter said the Everton, Leeds, Sevilla and Nice were all fighting West Ham to sign Brereton-Diaz in the summer window.
With the Hammers and Everton battling it out for Premier League survival, both clubs are desperate for goals.
The Sun reported earlier this month that West Ham and Everton were being put off by the £15m fee.
Well now it seems neither club will be getting him and Blackburn won’t be getting a penny for their main man either.

The Italian transfer reporter has taken to Twitter to reveal Brereton-Diaz has signed a pre-contract agreement with La Liga club Villarreal and will join them on a free in the summer.

Romano confirmed Premier League clubs wanted the striker too but says the deal with Villarreal is now ‘signed and sealed’.
“Ben Brereton Díaz has full agreement to join Villarreal in June as free agent — deal sealed and completed,” Romano said on Twitter.
“Premier League clubs were tracking him too but Brereton will join Villarreal.”
Another one bites the dust for West Ham and Everton.
Interestingly Everton were recently linked with a move for Hammers striker Michail Antonio after Moyes signed Danny Ings.
But the Hammers boss has spoken out and criticised Antonio for his comments on those Everton links this weekend.
