West Ham hold an advantage of Southampton in the race to sign Terem Moffi from Lorient in the January transfer window.

West Ham are allegedly now in talks to sign the 23-year-old striker.

Southampton dealt blow with West Ham in strong position to sign Moffi
The 23-year-old striker is seemingly all set to swap Ligue 1 for the Premier League at some point in the January transfer window.
talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook reckons that Moffi’s £25 million price-tag means that the Hammers are better placed than the Saints to sign the Lorient ace:
That’s great news for us, and very bad for Southampton.
He is absolutely rapid and is strong as an ox. He is generally a nuisance for opposing defenders and would offer a completely different option to Gianluca Scamacca through the middle, what with his power and pace.
He’s been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, with 10 goals in 16 games for Lorient to his name (Transfermarkt).
£25 million for the Lorient hitman sounds like outstanding value to me.
And Southampton losing out to West Ham on the signing of Moffi will be a major blow for them.
