According to the Independent, West Ham have made a tentative enquiry to sign Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire on loan in the summer transfer window.

However, it appears as though Hammers manager David Moyes is eyeing a different type of deal for the Maguire.
It does seem like it’s an unrealistic option as things stand though…
Harry Maguire twist as West Ham eye different deal for Manchester United defender
The Hammers now want to sign the 30-year-old central defender on loan, and have made an enquiry to Man United to do just that, according to the Independent.
It is suggested that that particular deal looks unlikely at the moment though.
I think Maguire would be a fantastic signing for West Ham, and if we could pick him up for around £25-30 million, it would be a good deal for us.
He has been an absolute man mountain when playing for England over the past few years but has been the target of heavy criticism for some of his displays for Man United.

The thing is, he is far better suited to playing in a side that sets up with a deep backline – just like Leicester did before he moved to Old Trafford.
And that’s why I think Harry Maguire would be so perfectly suited to playing for West Ham.
David Moyes always sets his team up with a deep defensive line, and I’m sure that if the Man United centre-back joined the Hammers this summer, he would flourish at the London Stadium.
It appears as though Maguire moving to East London is unlikely at the moment though.
