West Ham United are extremely active in the market on transfer deadline day it seems.

Incredibly, the Hammers are being linked with some more signings on deadline day, including Carlos Soler from PSG and Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea.

Transfer deadline day is finally upon us, and West Ham have one final shot at turning a 9/10 window into the perfect 10.

Julen Lopetegui has worked wonders at the London Stadium this summer, but the West Ham head coach needs to make at least one more top quality signing, if he is to guide us to success on all fronts this season.

The Hammers fans are buzzing with excitement about what the future holds for us, and Lopetegui has insisted that he’s after even more new signings.

However, the Spaniard will have to get rid of some of the fringe players first, before he can even think about making any new signings.

That said, one player in particular seems to be digging his heels in regarding a potential exit from the London Stadium on deadline day.

Ands that is obviously very bad news for us.

So if the Hammers are to sign another player on top of Soler, Lopetegui needs to shift on some more of the deadwood.

According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna, centre-back Nayef Aguerd has snubbed a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad.

The Saudi club’s total proposal to sign West Ham centre-back Nayef Aguerd was worth around £21 million.

He has rejected their offer of €5 million (£4.2 million) per year or £80k-a-week, all tax free out in Saudi.

That’s the equivalent of roughly earning £135k-a-week in England, due to the highest 40% tax bracket.

The reason he’s rejected a move to Saudi is because he wants to move to La Liga instead, with Villarreal and Real Sociedad in the race for his signature.

I’m just hoping that he leaves the club before 11pm tonight, I really don’t care where he ends up!

Nayef Aguerd needs to leave West Ham

Hopefully a move to La Liga comes to fruition for Aguerd before tonight’s deadline.

He has proven to be a terrible fit for not only West Ham, but the Premier League in general.

The Morocco international lacks the physicality and intensity needed to succeed in England, and he has become a target for opposing teams over the past year.

With the new arrivals this summer, he’s now fourth choice centre-back, and he definitely won’t be playing regularly if he remains at the London Stadium.

Nayef Aguerd simply has to leave West Ham on deadline day.

Quite where he will end up remains to be seen though.
