Kurt Zouma has rejected a move to West Ham from Chelsea according to a report from The Guardian.

Sky Sports were first to report on the news that West Ham were in talks to sign the Frenchman from Chelsea last week.

And with David Moyes desperate to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium, Zouma would have been a truly brilliant addition for the Hammers.

It seems as though the East London outfit are set for disappointment, however.

The Guardian claims that the 26-year-old centre-back has now refused to move to the London Stadium.

Now, that news came as quite a shock as it was only yesterday that The Daily Mail claimed that Zouma had his heart set on joining the Hammers.

It seems as though we have an answer as to why this has happened, however.

Well-informed club insider ExWHUemployee has suggested that the wages offered to the Blues centre-back were not what he expected:

So there you have it. It seems as though West Ham were not ready to pay Zouma what he was obviously looking for.

That will come as no surprise to the Hammers fans.
