West Ham United reportedly may now be prepared to accept a nominal loan fee from Roma for Gianluca Scamacca.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition July 19th, page 14), West Ham have now opened up to the idea of sending Gianluca Scamacca on loan to Roma in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes is allegedly open to accepting a loan fee of around €3-4 million (£2.6-3.5 million) for the Italy international.

The 24-year-old has actually looked pretty decent during pre-season so far, although it was recently claimed that he’s keen to leave the London Stadium this summer.
And a move to Roma could well be on the cards for Scamacca before the start of the new season…
Gianluca Scamacca could be allowed to leave West Ham for pathetic £2.6 million loan fee
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Hammers are now open to the idea of allowing the Italian to join Roma for a paltry £2.6 million loan fee.
I have to say if this happens I’ll be absolutely fuming. Scamacca is a top-class forward who was criminally misused during his first season at the London Stadium.

The Italian possesses truly top tier technical ability and is a superb finisher.
The trouble for Scamacca is that since joining the Hammers, he has been far too isolated playing up front on his own.
There have been positive signs during pre-season though, with the wingers playing more narrow to the 24-year-old, and runners from midfielder supporting him.
If West Ham give up on Gianluca Scamacca after just one season, it could end up being a truly terrible mistake from Moyes and the board. I really hope Moyes keeps him at the London Stadium and gives him a chance to succeed with the Hammers.
