Filip Kostic may have already agreed to join West Ham United from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from German publication Kicker who claim that there is a ‘strong indication’ that the 29-year-old has agreed a move to the London Stadium this summer.

Kostic was first linked with a move to join the Hammers a couple of days ago, with Fabrizio Romano claiming that talks between the East London club and Eintracht Frankfurt are imminently set to enter the final stages.

There are whispers that David Moyes is considering switching to a back five this season. And Filip Kostic would be a great addition considering the fact that we haven’t really got anyone who can play the left wing-back role.

Aaron Cresswell isn’t athletic enough any more whilst Arthur Masuaku is not a Premier League footballer, or at least he shouldn’t be.

And it seems as though Moyes is desperate to strengthen his options in that particular position…

Filip Kostic may have agreed to West Ham move

There is a ‘strong indication’ that the 29-year-old has already agreed to a Hammers switch according to Kicker.

And West Ham have apparently offered Eintracht Frankfurt at least €13 million (£11 million) for Kostic (Kicker).

We’d absolutely love the 29-year-old at the London Stadium.

The Eintracht Frankfurt ace is an incredibly hard-working player.

He is old fashioned in the sense that he’s left-footed and plays on the left! As a result, Kostic is much more of a provider than a goalscorer.

The 48-capped Serbia international bagged 15 assists and seven goals in 43 games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season (Transfermarkt). That’s a healthy return by anyone’s standards.

On face value, he has everything that West Ham boss David Moyes looks for in potential new signings, aside from the fact that he is 29 of course!

We don’t believe that will be an issue for the Serb though.

He’s a self confessed ‘warrior on the pitch’ (Eintracht Frankfurt’s official website). He would certainly add so much to our play down the left hand side.

The 29-year-old currently earns around £43k-a-week according to Salary Sport. So he definitely won’t break our wage structure.

And if Filip Kostic ends up joining West Ham this summer, we’ll be in a very good shape down the left hand side of the pitch next season.
