Fabrizio Romano has just delivered an update regarding West Ham United’s pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt ace Filip Kostic.

The Hammers are currently in talks to sign the 29-year-old ace for around €15 million (£12.75 million) according to a report from Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.

We think that Kostic would be a superb addition to David Moyes’s squad at the London Stadium this summer.

Moyes has been a busy man in the transfer market already this summer, having brought Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes and talented youngster Patrick Kelly to the London Stadium.

In addition to those new arrivals, Gianluca Scamacca is allegedly closing in on a move to join West Ham according to Fabrizio Romano.

Things are finally starting to take shape and Romano has provided another Hammers transfer update…

Fabrizio Romano provides Filip Kostic update

The 29-year-old is believed to be a top transfer target for David Moyes due to his ability to play in both the left wing-back and left wing roles.

And Romano reckons that West Ham are currently progressing well with a proposed deal to sign the Serbian:

We’d absolutely love the 29-year-old at the London Stadium.

The Eintracht Frankfurt ace is an incredibly hard-working player.

He is old fashioned in the sense that he’s left-footed and plays on the left! As a result, Kostic is much more of a provider than a goalscorer.

The 48-capped Serbia international bagged 15 assists and seven goals in 43 games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season (Transfermarkt). That’s a healthy return by anyone’s standards.

On face value, he has everything that West Ham boss David Moyes looks for in potential new signings, aside from the fact that he is 29 of course!

We don’t believe that will be an issue for the Serb though.

He’s a self confessed ‘warrior on the pitch’ (Eintracht Frankfurt’s official website). He would certainly add so much to our play down the left hand side.

And the Fabrizio Romano update on Filip Kostic seems to be a very promising one indeed for West Ham.
