Barca’s financial problems have been well-documented.
They cannot even register their new signings until they sell some players and drastically lower their wage-bill.
It is because of Barcelona’s desperation to move on some of the deadwood that West Ham now have a great chance to sign Martin Braithwaite.
That’s according to AS who claim that Barca are trying everything they can to send the Dane to the London Stadium.

This is a link that is just not going away.
David Moyes could and should be setting his sights a lot higher, however.
West Ham need to avoid Braithwaite at all costs
The 30-year-old journeyman striker has never produced the goods at the very highest level.
He is a decent forward, but nothing more than that.

The Barcelona forward has a really poor career goalscoring record. He has only 93 goals in 401 games to his name (Transfermarkt)! West Ham need to sign a proven goalscorer this summer.
He really struggled during a spell with Middlesbrough as well. So there is a strong argument to say that Premier League football just isn’t for him.
The Denmark international can be lively at times but he always seems to run down blind alleys.
It’s not as if he’s up for grabs for a real bargain either. Sport claims it will take around £15 million to prise him away from the Camp Nou.

David Moyes surely has no interest in Braithwaite. We’re just counting down the days until these incessant links with the 30-year-old stop for good.
