West Ham United make Troy Parrott transfer call
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers have made a call to sign the Republic of Ireland international.
It’s understood that they have made calls to over 10 strikers over the past few weeks, as they are desperate to bring a quality centre forward to the London Stadium.
Along with Parrott, a call was made to Manchester United attacker Joshua Zirkzee as well, who is struggling for regular game time under Ruben Amorim.
However, nothing is understood to be advanced with regard to any of the deals for the London Stadium outfit.
West Ham have learned Jorgen Strand Larsen’s transfer fee as well and it remains to be seen if they end up pursuing his services in January.
Romano told Men in Blazers: “Look, at the moment, no, with Villa, I’m not aware of anything really concrete. One of the clubs that called to understand the situation, but to be fair, they called, I think, 10, 12 strikers in the last few weeks, was West Ham, who asked for several strikers.
“For example, they called for Joshua Zirkzee, they called for Troy Parrott, so they called for several strikers to understand the situation.
“But at the moment, still nothing advanced, still nothing concrete. So I’m sure there will be movement, because obviously the boy did fantastic for his national team, but at the same time, we have to wait and see what’s going to happen in terms of concrete transfer news.”
Strand Larsen will be the best striker West Ham have signed in years. He will save them from relegation… 😍

Why is Parrott the right option for West Ham?
Parrott is having the season of his life and his confidence is currently at an all-time high.
He always had the talent and potential, but he’s added consistency to his game and now seems to be ready to make it to the next level.
This season, he has scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 17 games in all competitions for club and country.
The 23-year-old also made headlines when he scored a dramatic last-minute winner and hat-trick against Hungary to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup play-offs.
He would be the perfect penalty-box striker that Nuno is looking for and would play a big role in the club’s fight against relegation.

What has been said about Parrott?
RTE commentator Darragh Maloney waxed lyrical about Parrott, especially as he guided Ireland a step closer to the World Cup.
It was a moment that united the entire nation and also showed the world that the former Tottenham striker is capable of showing up when the chips are down.
Maloney said: “One last throw of the dice, it’s all on this from Caoimhin Kelleher, [Liam] Scales is up after it, Scales wins the header, it’s a chance … there’s the goal! That’s Troy Parrott … that’s unbelievable.”
Roy Keane was also glad that Parrott is finally living up to his potential and was thrilled for the Republic of Ireland.
He told ITV: “Fantastic, amazing. When you think the way they started the campaign, a draw and a defeat. To win today on the back of the Portugal result, fantastic.
“Parrott got a hat-trick. There was always talk about Parrott over the last few years, but he has stepped up in the last few days.”
