Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano has delivered a Chelsea transfer update that will be a big boost to West Ham United’s hopes of landing Tammy Abraham.
It is one of the worst kept secret in football that West Ham are desperate to sign a striker this summer.
Moyes has the excellent but injury prone Michail Antonio as his only senior forward following the sale of Sebastien Haller in January.
Chelsea outcast Abraham long linked with West Ham as Moyes’s number one target
And it has been clear for some time that Chelsea outcast Abraham is Moyes’s prime target.
Abraham has no future at Chelsea under new manager Thomas Tuchel. He was frozen out of the Blues side – and squad – for much of the second half of last season.
Way back in April, Hammers insider ExWHUemployee claimed Abraham had emerged as West Ham’s most wanted to fill the striker void.
Indeed just last week ExWHUemployee claimed Abraham is keen on a move to West Ham.
Dortmund also linked as part of potential Haaland swap but Romano has good news for Hammers in update
But Aston Villa, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have also been heavily linked with the striker as well.
West Ham received a big boost last night, though, when Italian journalist Romano delivered a Chelsea transfer update.
That’s because the self-styled transfer guru has revealed that Chelsea and Dortmund have not even discussed players being included in any deal.
“Erling Haaland has no agreement on personal terms with any club, as of today,” Romano said on Twitter.
“But the real issue to sign Haaland this summer is Borussia Dortmund position.
“(Re:) Haaland, BVB insist NO official bid received from Chelsea yet – not even discussing about players included in the deal.”
Abraham ‘wants’ West Ham move while report says £30m should be enough to get deal done with Chelsea
Football Insider recently claimed that West Ham are the current front runners to land Abraham.
And the site reported that a bid of around £30m should be enough to ensure West Ham seal the deal.
