West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has delivered a big update on the club’s exciting move for Matheus Pereira.
Hammers fans are starting to believe West Bromwich Albion star Pereira could be West Ham bound.
Birmingham Live claimed the Brazilian playmaker has struck an agreement with the hierarchy at relegated West Brom not to play in any pre-season games as he nears a departure.
West Ham fans were excited when insiders Claret and Hugh claimed Pereira is being eyed by David Moyes as an alternative to Jesse Lingard.
The midfielder is three years younger than Lingard and hit 11 goals and laid on five assists for the Baggies last season. Impressive statistics, particularly given Pereira was playing in a side that was relegated.
It seems West Ham are serious about Pereira according to ExWHUemployee’s big transfer update.
But the Hammers hierarchy could be exploring the possibility to signing him on loan with an obligation to buy – to leave the door open for Lingard should the opportunity arise.
“We haven’t met the valuation yet and are exploring a range of different proposals including a loan with obligation to buy and a loan with an option to complete the deal,” ExWHUemployee said on The West Ham Way Patreon site.
“The club, despite a lot of indication from Lingard and Manchester United that Jesse will either remain there or consider a move abroad with the likes of Atletico Madrid showing interest, have not completely given up on him.
“Therefore if Pereira was to sign on loan a later move for Lingard could happen.
