West Ham are set for a busy January transfer window, and ExWHUEmployee has issued an update on who could be joining.

Nuno Espirito Santo wants a new striker and centre-back as there are glaring issues at both ends of the pitch.

This is shocking! 😰 Relegation is going to be dire for West Ham…

What would YOU do to avoid this mess?

West Ham owner David Sullivan

Callum Wilson, who is the best number nine at the club, has not started the last few games, with Nuno potentially sending a message to the board.

At the other end, West Ham have conceded the third-highest goals in the Premier League and desperately want someone to shore up the backline.

ExWHUEmployee issues update on Adama Traore transfer

Via his Patreon, ExWHUEmployee delivered an update on the Hammers’ quest to sign Fulham attacker Adama Traore.

Nuno wants Traore at West Ham after sharing a good working relationship with him during their Wolves days.

It’s understood that, as things stand, the 29-year-old is the most one who is most likely to move to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.

There is confidence that a fee can be agreed upon between the two clubs within the coming days.

Nuno is desperate to make this happen as soon as possible, as he’s keen on attacking reinforcements.

Traore will be entering the final six months of his contract at Craven Cottage, so he would be available at a reduced fee, despite reports claiming he will cost West Ham £20million.

Adama Traore for £20m would be the worst signing in West Ham history…😡

Why does Nuno want Traore at West Ham?

For starters, Traore understands his system better than most and it would not take him long to adapt to life at the London Stadium.

The Spain international arguably played his best football under Nuno, so he would certainly relish the opportunity of a reunion with him.

The Hammers have struggled with directness and pace out wide this season and having someone like Traore would give them that.

It would also free up Bowen to play a roaming role and that could potentially unlock him and he could go on another good goal-scoring run.

As he’s Premier League proven, something that the Hammers board are looking for, he could hit the ground running and potentially be the difference maker in the final third.
