There could be exciting times ahead for West Ham United fans after a bold new claim over the club’s summer transfer budget.

Karren Brady message to David Moyes sparks backlash over use of one word

West Ham fans have been putting increased pressure on co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold to back David Moyes in the transfer market.

Particularly after he led the Hammers to their best ever Premier League points total and into the Europa League group stages for the first time.

Supporters were angered by claims of paltry £40-50m transfer kitty after amazing season

West Ham need to beef up their squad in several key areas, especially with European football to contend with.

Supporters were angered recently when several sources claimed Moyes would have a paltry £50m to spend this summer.

Indeed the manager himself conceded £40m might be most of his entire transfer kitty when asked if that price ruled him out of a move for Tammy Abraham (Independent).

But whether it is the new TV deal being secured, the prospect of the return of fans, securing the extra revenue that came with finishing sixth and getting into Europe or just a change of heart, it appears Sullivan and Gold are set to give Moyes more than DOUBLE that figure.

Sullivan and Gold to give Moyes £85m warchest and could yet add to it – insider claims

That’s according to insiders Claret and Hugh – who have direct links to the West Ham owners.

In a new report yesterday, Claret and Hugh claim Moyes will be handed £85m to spend this summer PLUS anything he makes from player sales.

Headlined ‘Moyes transfer kitty grows after great season’ Claret and Hugh’s Hugh Southon claims Sullivan and Gold will hand over £85m – which would match the net spend by Manuel Pellegrini during the famous summer splurge of 2018.

And Southon even claims Sullivan and Gold could yet decide to add more money into kitty.

“It will be a big boost to the manager and just financial reward for his efforts in leading the club into it’s finest season in many years,” Claret and Hugh claim.

Fans getting what they have asked for and no reason why Hammers can’t emulate Leicester

“It means that in total he is believed to have around £85 million available before the board decide whether to add more cash to the pot.”

West Ham fans are desperate to see the kind of consistent and considered investment that Leicester have made over the last few years.

The Foxes have established themselves as genuine top six regulars and have a Premier League and FA Cup to show for their efforts.

There is absolutely no reason why that can’t be West Ham with the right investment. And the club clearly has the right manager.
