Valon Behrami has suggested that West Ham United target Davide Frattesi will leave Sassuolo for around £25 million.

Hammers boss David Moyes is interested in signing the 23-year-old midfielder according to the likes of FcInterNews.

In fact, it was claimed that the Scot made a £20 million bid for the Italian leading up to the summer transfer window.

West Ham definitely need to bolster our central midfield ranks at the London Stadium in the summer.

Declan Rice will almost certainly leave the club whilst an upgrade on Tomas Soucek is definitely required in my opinion.

Frattesi would certainly be a great addition for the Hammers. And a former West Ham player reckons that he won’t be too expensive either…

The Swiss midfielder, 37, spent three years with West Ham before leaving for Fiorentina in 2011.

He was a fairly popular player at Upton Park and if truth be told, we probably got rid of him too soon.

Behrami has been speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, and suggested that it will take around £25 million to prise the the four-capped Italy international away from the Neroverdi:

“As far as he has shown, he can be worth £25 million. I’d see him well at Inter if Barella weren’t there. But, for the Italian (clubs, it would be a big investment.”

That would actually be a brilliant deal for the Hammers in my opinion.

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali recently raved about Frattesi, when speaking to Rai Radio:

“He’s an example. He’s an extraordinary player and boy. Frattesi is one of our most important players.”

He is an orthodox central midfielder by trade but he can also operate in the number 10 position.

The 23-year-old bagged four goals and three assists in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo last season (Who Scored).

During those outings, Frattesi averaged 1.3 tackles, one interception and 1.3 clearances per game (Who Scored).

The Italian ace made 34 passes on average per match and recorded an impressive 83.7% completion rate (Who Scored).

This term, the 23-year-old has racked up five goals in 21 games for Sassuolo (Who Scored).

Davide Frattesi would be a great fit at West Ham, especially with his best mate Gianluca Scamacca already at the London Stadium.

And for just £25 million, the Hammers really can’t go wrong. However, whether we are able to beat the likes of Inter Milan to the Italian’s signature remains to be seen.
