According to Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition, Just 5th, page 15), the Toffees are interested in signing £35 million rated Bayer Leverkusen Patrik Schick.

Tutto Mercato Web claimed last year that the Hammers were eyeing a potential move to sign the Czech Republic international.

Nothing came of it in the end. With David Moyes now in desperate need of bringing a top class striker to the London Stadium, however, Schick would have been the absolutely perfect addition for the Scot.

If West Ham do make a move to sign the 25-year-old hitman, we could face competition from Everton.

So the East London outfit need to act fast.

Everton eyeing Patrik Schick but West Ham need him more

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition, Just 5th, page 15), Rafa Benitez wants to bring the Leverkusen striker to Goodison Park this summer.

It could be argued that the Hammers need him a lot more than the Toffees do, however.

Standing just under 6ft 3in tall, Schick is ideal for Moyes’s setup at the London Stadium. Not only is the 25-year-old a big unit, but he is also incredibly mobile and he has very good movement.

Schick is a great finisher as well. He’s racked up 23 goals and five assists over the past two seasons in the Bundesliga (Transfermarkt).

The Czech ace really impressed at EURO 2020 this summer as well with five goals in five games to his name.

Signing him this summer is an absolute no-brainer for David Moyes. It appears as though the Scot could face stiff competition from his former club Everton, however, if he does decide to make a move for the Leverkusen ace.

So the East London outfit’s owners had better star getting their ducks in a row…and fast.
