West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter after The Athletic claimed that Leeds are closing in on a deal to sign Junior Firpo from Barcelona.

Whilst left-back is not an area where Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to strengthen, it is hardly a position where we are well-stocked.
Aaron Cresswell is 31 now whilst Arthur Masuaku is far better when operating in the wing-back position.
Ben Johnson can fill in at left-back of course but it isn’t his natural position.
West Ham fans fume as Leeds close in on Firpo
The Barcelona ace has been constantly linked with a move to West Ham over the past year or so (Calciomercato).
The Athletic now claim that Leeds are close to signing the 24-year-old for £12.8 million.
Firpo will undoubtedly be a success at Elland Road under Marcelo Bielsa. He is a top class player.
£12.8 million for the Barcelona star seems like outstanding value and he would have been a very useful addition or the Hammers.
