The Evening Standard claims West Ham United are not ruling out a shock double striker transfer this summer.
All things considered the majority of West Ham fans would concur it has been a very promising transfer window so far.
But the most important work is still to be done, particularly up front when it comes to signing a striker.

West Ham fans expect owners David Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky and David Gold to fully back their manager after the amazing progress the club has made over the last two and a half years.
They have done that to the tune of over £50m so far.
Yesterday a West Ham insider claimed the Hammers could spend another £100m as David Moyes hones in on three targets – Armando Broja, Gianluca Scamacca and Amadou Onana.

Broja is widely reported as being Moyes’ prime forward target this summer but there are doubts whether Chelsea will do business with West Ham for the Albanian.
Reports this week have claimed West Ham have entered talks with Sassuolo for Scamacca (Football Italia).
In reality West Ham do need two strikers. But given Moyes has been operating with only Michail Antonio for over 18 months, that always seemed unlikely.
It is assumed West Ham will be trying to sign EITHER Broja or Scamacca.

But The Evening Standard claims West Ham are not ruling out a shock double striker transfer this summer by signing BOTH!
“Signing a centre-forward is David Moyes’ main priority as the Hammers ramp up preparations for the new season,” The Evening Standard has reported.
“The Scot is desperate to bring in major competition for Michail Antonio, having tried and failed to do so since Sebastian Haller was sold to Ajax in January 2021…

“West Ham have not entirely ruled out the possibility of bringing in both Scamacca and Broja this summer, though that is likely to depend on Chelsea being willing to sanction another loan spell for Broja,” The Evening Standard added in an update.
West Ham fans would be in dreamland if the club somehow manged to sign both Broja and Scamacca.
It sounds too good to be true and that’s because it probably is.
Most professional football clubs operate with at least three strikers in their squads, let alone Premier League sides.

West Ham have got away with murder relying on the injury-prone Antonio for so long.
The Hammers should have three forwards, especially if they want to continue to challenge for the top six.
But the fact that prospect seems so outlandish sums up the lack of true ambition from the club over the years.
