Andriy Yarmolenko sends classy and brutally honest farewell message and West Ham respond as lucrative move is confirmed.
David Moyes is in the middle of a sizeable rebuild at West Ham following a raft of departures.
One of those heading out of the Hammers exit door is Ukraine star Yarmolenko.

Yarmolenko arrived at West Ham for £17.5m from Borussia Dortmund during the great summer transfer splurge of 2018.
And he leaves the London Stadium during what is already looking set to be West Ham’s busiest and most expensive summer since.
The 32-year-old has joined UAE side Al Ain on a one-year deal as announced on the club’s official site.

Things were not always easy for Yarmolenko at West Ham. He suffered a terrible Achilles injury just a couple of months into his Hammers career which saw him miss most of his debut campaign.
He struggled to regain full fitness and although Moyes was a fan of the attacker, he rarely started matches under the Scot.
The Russian invasion of his home country turned Yarmolenko’s world upside down last season.

But he leaves West Ham having scored some hugely important goals.
His last gasp winner in a crucial 3-2 triumph over Chelsea during lockdown effectively kept West Ham up.
And emotional winners over Sevilla and Aston Villa last term while his country was under attack will live forever in the memories of West Ham fans.

Now Yarmolenko has sent a classy and brutally honest farewell message and West Ham have responded as his lucrative move is confirmed.
“Thanks to all you fans and people at West Ham, for all your support throughout the whole time, it didn’t work out,” Yarmo said in a brutally honest message alongside a healing heart emoji.
“But there were many happy and pleasant moments for which I am grateful to everyone who was with me and supported me. Thank you all, your Yarmo.”

Yarmolenko was a hugely popular figure among the squad at West Ham and will be missed.
And that was in evidence in West Ham’s reply to the departing winger.
“Thanks for everything, Andriy Yarmolenko! We’ll never forget your goal against Sevilla.
“What a moment for everyone associated with this club. Good luck with your new team.”
