Torino are allegedly trying really hard to sign West Ham United attacker Nikola Vlasic in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio who claims that the 24-year-old could join Torino from the Hammers on loan this summer.
The 24-year-old joined West Ham from CSKA Moscow last summer for around £33 million (Evening Standard). There is no chance that we will get anything like that for him now.
Vlasic just didn’t do enough to make any kind of impact for the Hammers last term. Although it must be said that he was consistently played out of position by David Moyes.
If we can move him on to Torino on loan for a small fee, we’d take that all day long. Selling him would be better of course, but that appears unlikely as things stand…
Nikola Vlasic close to West Ham exit
Gianluca Di Marzio reckons that the Croatia International is closing in on an exit from the London Stadium with Torino pushing hard to sign him.
Vlasic was given just 1637 minutes spread over 36 appearances last term (Transfermarkt). That works out at an average of just 45 minutes per game.
It must be said though, despite his lack of minutes, he just didn’t show anything to make us think that he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.
Moyes clearly isn’t a fan of the 24-year-old, so a loan move away from the London Stadium for the 2022/23 season seems to be the ideal solution.
That way he can get some regular action in Italy and perhaps prove what he’s truly capable of.
He obviously has something about him.
Unfortunately for him, he hasn’t shown that at the London Stadium.
And we think West Ham moving Nikola Vlasic on this summer is somewhat of a no-brainer.
