West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Depay for quite some time now (SPORT).

And Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Barcelona could be willing to let him leave the Camp Nou on a free transfer this summer.

Moyes has already signed Gianluca Scamacca but it could be argued that he needs further attacking reinforcements. And the Scot has responded this afternoon when asked about Depay in particular…

West Ham linked with Memphis Depay

Moyes was speaking to reporters this afternoon and responded when asked whether West Ham are the club currently in talks to sign the Dutchman, as quoted via Roshane Thomas:

“It is not us”.

Fair enough, hopefully we will move on quickly now. It’s just a shame as we believe Depay would have been sensational for the Hammers.

Depay bagged 13 goals and two assists in 38 games for Barca last season (Transfermarkt).

The former Manchester United ace is an enigmatic, precocious talent and on his day he is unplayable. Depay is incredibly strong as well and would be ideally suited to leading the line on his own for the Hammers.

The Barcelona ace has been described as a player with ‘unreal skill’ by The Metro.

The fact that West Ham boss David Moyes has ruled out a move for Memphis Depay is very frustrating indeed.

Let’s just hope that he has alternate options up his sleeve.
